Jim has over 35 years of global oil and gas experience. 

Jim Hand has been President and CEO of Kingston Midstream since 2018. He has held executive positions for the past 11 years in Canada with ConocoPhillips, Laricina Energy, and Repsol Oil & Gas. Most recently, he led the Canada Business Unit (formerly Talisman assets) for Repsol which included extensive mid-stream infrastructure to support over 60 kboepd of oil and gas production.

Jim came to Canada to lead the ConocoPhillips Surmont 2 SAGD mega-project. Prior to his arrival in Canada, Jim held numerous engineering, development, operations, and management positions with ConocoPhillips in Arctic Alaska, North Sea, Persian Gulf, Deepwater Gulf of Mexico, and mid-Continent.

Jim has served on CAPP’s Oil Sands and Conventional  Executive Policy Groups. Previously served on various local and global SPE committees.

Jim has Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Alaska and Province of Alberta.
