Continuous Improvement Advisor

Location: Calgary, AB

Job Overview

The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing project management, facilitation, and analysis support for Continuous Improvement activity across the entire organization.

Position Responsibilities  

  • Work with teams to assess key work processes and identify improvements
  • Perform analysis to help teams make value-based decisions to improve performance
  • Keeper of the tools to facilitate collaboration across disciplines and locations
  • Work with teams to assure appropriate Change Management
  • Provide direction to any external consultant resources hired to support CI activity
  • Apply Continuous Improvement practices (Lean and/or Six Sigma)
  • Develop the tools, processes and governance used by the organization to drive both break-through change and daily management improvements
  • Develop internal capability to drive a Continuous Improvement culture with Performance Improvement skills as part of leaders and employee’s way of working

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma in a related field or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum of ten years’ relevant industry experience
  • Experience in a continuous improvement role
  • Proven abilities to lead, initiate and manage change, be innovative, problem solve, negotiate and think strategically
  • Strong analytic skills and demonstrated ability to evaluate the cost/benefit of potential changes and translate it into business value
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills
  • Knowledge of mid-stream operations, regulatory, and industry practices
  • Continuous Improvement experience (either formal or on the job training) and ability to quickly develop skill set
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada without sponsorship
