Job Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Project Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for following Kingston Midstream’s Records and Information Management (RIM) and Document Control processes and provide technical expertise on records management to define, implement and manage new or improved processes in compliance with company policies.

Position Responsibilities  

  • Lead Document Control functions for the Projects, Engineering and Integrity Department; maintain  accuracy and integrity of all controlled departmental information including third party contractor exchange of engineered drawings and documents
  • Administer Kingston Midstream’s Safety and Loss Management System’s (SLMS) Records and Information Management Program Element
  • Participate in Records & Information Management System development, testing and process enhancements
  • Provide technical expertise on data management and delivery using Key Performance Indicators and reporting
  • Ensure company policies, processes and procedures for data management are applied
  • Support cross-functional project teams with access to information and collaborate to define and implement improved information management processes
  • Support and collaborate with Admins and Analysts from multiple departments
  • Provide coaching and training to staff

Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or other related discipline; Records & Information Management certification would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 10 years of Records & Information Management, Document Control and SharePoint experience
  • Clear understanding of the project lifecycle for managing and controlling engineering documents
  • Proven understanding of records management principles, governance and information lifecycle management 
  • Solid background in oil & gas documentation and contractor management
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings, records and information management practices and procedures
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationship in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize work systematically while remaining adaptive
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize workload, bring issues forward and develop working relationships at all levels of the organization
