Job Overview

The successful incumbent will provide engineering design and specification for the purchase and installation of liquids pipeline related infrastructure. The incumbent will be primarily focused on technical support with the potential for some project management. Occasional travel is required.

Position Responsibilities  

  • Perform front-end engineering and detailed design
  • Complete hydraulics modelling
  • Perform Engineering Assessments
  • Provide input for design basis memoranda (DBM), project execution plans (PEP), authorization for expenditures (AFEs) and documentation to obtain approval and funding for assigned projects
  • Prepare designs and specifications for review and approval by appropriate stakeholders
  • Procure materials and services in accordance with the Company’s standards, policies and procedures
  • Develop and compile documents needed for the safe execution of the work
  • Clarify requirements with construction personnel and complete site inspections during construction
  • Review commissioning packages for completeness and accuracy
  • Provide technical support on operational matters, on engineering matters, and to execute requests from management and stakeholders in a timely manner

Skills and Qualifications

  • Post secondary degree in Mechanical or Industrial Systems Engineering
  • Eng with a minimum of 10 years of piping system or pipeline design experience is preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to effectively lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders on a frequent basis, including both office and field staff
