Safety and Loss Management System (SLMS) Coordinator – Projects, Engineering and Integrity

Position Type: 12-month temporary position, with the potential to convert to a permanent opportunity

Job Overview

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the development of Kingston Midstream’s Safety and Loss Management System (SLMS) programs related to Projects, Engineering & Integrity (PE&I). The role will include development of processes and program documents for SLMS performance monitoring, conformance monitoring and control of non-conformance.

Position Responsibilities  

  • Identify and develop formal program documentation related to the Project Delivery Program (PDP) and Engineering Management Program (EMP) in alignment with the current Integrity Management Program (IMP) Program documentation
  • Develop SLMS Performance Monitoring activities including Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for Project, Engineering & Integrity Programs
  • Develop the SLMS Audit and Inspection Program related to the Projects, Engineering & Integrity programs
  • Develop and manage Conformance and Non-Conformance tracking programs and reporting processes
  • Develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAP) to address improvement areas identified from program internal and external audits
  • Coordinate Management of Change activities related to Projects, Engineering & Integrity
  • Manage and upkeep of Projects, Engineering & Integrity MOC’s in the Intellex’s database

Skills and Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist (Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Minimum 5 years experience with SLMS and risk management
  • Experience with the development of management systems with ISO (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, API 1173, API 1177, etc.)
  • Familiarity with API RP 1177 and ISO 19011
  • Experience with Project Management principles
  • Comprehensive understanding of CSA Z662 with emphasis on Annex’s A, B and N
  • Familiarity with the NEB Pipeline Regulations and Saskatchewan/Manitoba legislation
  • High degree of personal initiative with a strong facilitation, collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Experience with program and compliance auditing
  • Proficiency with the following software:
    • Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint, Word, Excel and Visio
    • Intellex – Management of Change database software (or similar MOC tracking software)
    • TrackerSuite, or similar, project management software
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada without sponsorship
  • Travel is required
