A Closer Look at the Kingston Midstream Brand

THE RIGHT TIME FOR AN EVOLUTION

In 2011, Tundra Energy Marketing Limited (TEML) was formed as an independent subsidiary of Tundra Oil and Gas. At that time, sharing the name Tundra was the right decision – it was recognizable and gave the organization credibility. However, company growth came rapidly. Acquisitions were made, our service offering grew, and our name no longer reflected our full scope or plans for long-term growth.

OUR NAME – KINGSTON MIDSTREAM

Our new name, Kingston Midstream, is a nod to the legacy of our parent company James Richardson and Sons, Limited. James Richardson began his grain merchandising business in 1857 – 10 years before confederation – in Kingston, Ontario and over the course of the company’s 160+ years the organization has grown into one of Canada’s most well respected family-owned companies. We’re proud to be part of James Richardson’s truly Canadian pioneering spirit.

THE NEW LOGO

Our logo was designed to represent tradition, movement, and integration. It’s fresh, energetic, ambitious, and strategic.

THE KM ICON

The icon was designed to stand on its own, over time. It conveys integration and cooperation as one cohesive symbol, with the lines representing routes, transportation, and movement.
